SARASOTA, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will have a temporary outside right lane closure on eastbound Fruitville Road (S.R. 780) from just before the intersection at Beneva Road starting Sunday night, March 1 and continuing through project completion. Motorists will be directed with pavement markings to merge left prior to the lane closure. Crews will install a temporary concrete barrier wall for safety as they complete widening and other improvements to the lane. Motorists wishing to turn right onto southbound Beneva Road will still be able to turn from the center lane. Please use caution and watch for workers in or near the project limits.
