Lakeland, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces that a daytime flagging operation will take place on southbound Combee Road (S.R. 659) approximately 600 feet south of the intersection with State Road 33 from March 8–15, 2026. The work, associated with ongoing improvements in the I‑4/S.R. 33 corridor, will occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day.

Motorists should expect brief delays, intermittent lane shifts, and reduced speeds as crews direct traffic through the work zone. Drivers are urged to use caution, follow posted signage, and remain alert for workers and equipment in the area.

FDOT appreciates the public’s patience as crews continue to work to improve safety and mobility along this important corridor.
