HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) continues construction activities along State Road (S.R.) 25 (U.S. 27) in the Town of Lake Placid.

The median closure at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Dal Hall Boulevard / Tower Street has been extended due to weather and unforeseen circumstances. Eastbound and westbound movements will continue to be detoured. Northbound and southbound traffic on U.S. 27 will remain open. Motorists should follow posted detour routes while traveling through the area.

Construction schedules and traffic control operations remain subject to change as work progresses.

Motorists are encouraged to add additional travel time, follow posted detour signs, and use caution while traveling through the area. Drivers are urged to watch for workers, equipment, and changing traffic patterns in the construction zone.
