Bridge Closure on U.S. 98 over the Kissimmee River for Repairs

HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will conduct overnight bridge work on US 98 over the Kissimmee River beginning Thursday night, March 26, 2026.

The roadway will be closed as of 5 p.m., with traffic managed through a flagging operation on the southbound lane as crews perform repairs to the bridge deck. Work is expected to continue until 6 a.m.

Motorists are encouraged to add additional travel time, follow posted detour signs, and use caution while traveling through the area.
