TRAFFIC SHIFT SCHEDULED FOR I-4 EASTBOUND OFF-RAMP
Lakeland, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is advising motorists of an upcoming traffic shift affecting the I‑4 eastbound off‑ramp to State Road (S.R.) 33, known as Ramp B, as part of ongoing improvements at the I‑4/S.R. 33 interchange.
Beginning on the morning of Tuesday, April 14, crews will open the newly constructed Ramp B alignment. This shift will move the ramp’s entry point approximately 3,000 feet west of its current location. Motorists traveling on I‑4 eastbound and exiting to S.R. 33 should expect to use the new ramp configuration starting that morning.
Drivers are urged to remain alert, follow posted signage, and use caution while navigating the new traffic pattern.
This work is part of the broader I‑4 at S.R. 33 interchange improvement project designed to enhance safety, traffic flow, and long‑term mobility in the area.
Schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.
