OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, Fla. – Construction activities are continuing along U.S. 441 (State Road 15 / State Road 700 / U.S. 98) near Okeechobee High School (2800 U.S. 441 N).

Work originally scheduled to be completed by 2 p.m. has been extended due to a delay in materials delivery. Crews are expected to remain onsite and complete work by approximately 5 p.m., however, work may be extended due to unforeseen circumstances.

Operations include underground drilling and utility installation along the corridor as part of a two-day project.

Motorists are encouraged to add additional travel time, follow posted signage, and use caution while traveling through the area. Drivers are urged to watch for workers, equipment, and changing traffic patterns in the construction zone.
