Upcoming Traffic Shift on State Road 31/Babcock Ranch Road near Horseshoe Road for Roundabout Construction

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Beginning Wednesday night, May 6, at approximately 7 p.m., motorists can expect a slight westward traffic shift on State Road 31 near Horseshoe Road. This shift is necessary to advance the construction of the new roundabout at Lake Babcock Drive.

While traffic flow will not be impacted, motorists are reminded to exercise caution, stay alert, and follow all posted regulatory signage while driving through the construction zone.

The improvement project, scheduled for completion by mid-2027, will enhance drainage, bolster safety, and greatly improve traffic flow and vehicle access. For more details on the project, visit here.
