HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) advises motorists of upcoming maintenance activities at the intersection of U.S. 27 (S.R. 25) and S.R. 70, near Circle K, south of the Town of Lake Placid.

Beginning Monday, June 22, 2026, FDOT maintenance crews will perform roadway repairs in the area. Work will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is expected to continue for approximately one week.

Lane closures will be in place during work activities, and motorists should anticipate changing traffic patterns while work is underway.

Motorists are encouraged to add additional travel time, follow posted signage, and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Drivers are urged to watch for workers, equipment, and changing traffic patterns in the area.

Work activities and schedules are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
