PINE ISLAND, Fla. – FDOT crews will be working six-day weeks to complete the drilling of sheet pilings, including over the July 4th holiday.  A lane shift remains in place east of the Matlacha Pass Bridge, but no lane closures are anticipated.  Motorists, including vehicles towing boats for the holiday weekend, and marine traffic should use caution in the area since crews are currently working on the south side of the roadway.  Noise from construction equipment is to be expected.
