U.S. 17/92 Closed at Ernie Caldwell Boulevard in Davenport

BARTOW, Fla. – All northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. 17/92 in Davenport are closed from Ernie Caldwell Boulevard to Lem Carnes Road due to roadway depressions resulting from a jack-and-bore operation just south of Ernie Caldwell Boulevard.

Southbound U.S. 17/92 traffic is being detoured west onto Ernie Caldwell Boulevard, south on Lee Jackson Highway, then east on Lem Carnes Road returning to U.S. 17/92.

Northbound U.S. 17/92 traffic is being detoured west on Lem Carnes Road, north on Lee Jackson Highway, then east on Ernie Caldwell Boulevard, returning to U.S. 17/92.

Emergency crews are currently repairing the site. The duration of the road closure remains unknown at this time.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution, slow down when approaching the work zone, follow posted detour signs, and allow extra time to reach their destination. For updates go to FL511.com.
