About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) did pedestrian counts in 2015 and determined for safety reasons the mid-block crossings are needed. As part of this project, FDOT is designing mid-block pedestrian crossings between North 10th Avenue and 11th Avenue, and just east of 12th Avenue. The mid-block pedestrian crossings will provide designated areas for pedestrians to cross SR 70. The mid-block pedestrian crossing at the driveways for St. Paul’s Catholic Church and the Clock Family/McDonald’s restaurants will eliminate left turns out from each of these driveways. It will also eliminate west to southbound left turns into the Catholic Church.
