A Florida Department of Transportation resurfacing project on Harden Boulevard, from south of Beaker Road to Forest Park Street, began in late-May 2024 and was completed in April 2025. The project, which was mainly roadway resurfacing, included the following improvements:

• Milling out and removing the old asphalt and paving new asphalt
• Improving accessibility at curb ramps that do not currently meet ADA requirements
• Improving drainage and reconstructing the crosswalk at Oakbridge Boulevard East
• Removing the delineators at the northbound right turn lane from Harden Boulevard to the entrance to Lakeland Christian School (Forest Park Street)
• Adding curb on the north side of Forest Park Street to improve visibility of the end of the right turn lane
