About

A Florida Department of Transportation resurfacing project on Harden Boulevard, from south of Beaker Road to Forest Park Street, began in late-May 2024. the project, which is mainly roadway resurfacing, includes the following improvements:

  • Milling out and removing the old asphalt and paving new asphalt
  • Improving accessibility at curb ramps that do not currently meet ADA requirements
  • Improving drainage and reconstructing the crosswalk at Oakbridge Boulevard East
  • Removing the delineators at the northbound right turn lane from Harden Boulevard to the entrance to Lakeland Christian School (Forest Park Street)
  • Adding curb on the north side of Forest Park Street to improve visibility of the end of the right turn lane

Motorists can expect nighttime/overnight lane closures from 9:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. throughout the project duration.

Milling and paving began on Harden Boulevard in July 2024. Crews are working on the left turn lanes beneath SR 570 (Polk Parkway).
A new bulb-out curb will be added to the north side of Forest Park Street to improve visibility of the end of the right turn lane.
The delineators on the south side of Forest Park Street at the entrance to Lakeland Christian School will be removed.
