The Florida Department of Transportation, in coordination with DeSoto County, is proposing the widening of Kings Highway (CR 769) from the Charlotte County Line to SW Glenadine Avenue in DeSoto County.

Public Involvement

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in coordination with DeSoto County, is hosting a public information meeting 
for the Kings Highway (CR 769) from Charlotte County Line to SW Glenadine Avenue project in DeSoto County, Financial Project 
Identification (FPID) 440342-2-32-01.
You can participate in the public information meeting in-person or live online. The same materials will be displayed at both the inperson and online events, and will also be posted on the project website.
The proposed improvements include widening, median modifications, and drainage improvements. The public information meeting 
is being held to present information about the proposed improvements and provide the public an opportunity to offer feedback on 
the project.

to provide the opportunity to give comments to FDOT regarding this project.
