About
The Florida Department of Transportation will be constructing two new pedestrian bridges and intersection improvements along the Legacy Trail in Sarasota County. The trail is within the right of way limits of abandoned CSX railroad tracks and the proposed bridges will span over Clark Road (SR 72) and Bee Ridge Road (SR 758). Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) retaining wall ramps will also be constructed on both approaches to each bridge along with minor roadway and trail modifications to accommodate the new bridges.

UPCOMING – DETOUR: The next overnight detour is now scheduled for the early morning of Tuesday, December 10, for the deck pour. It will start around midnight and continue to 6 a.m. Additional overnight detours will be scheduled for the concrete parapet wall and to remove the overhang brackets
