About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin a 1.9 mile roadway and safety improvement project east of I-75 on US 301 from 60th Avenue to Erie Road in Manatee County. Work consists of milling, resurfacing, widening, median safety improvements, drain-age improvements, signing and pavement markings, lighting, and signalization improvements. 

Project improvements include:

  • Milling and resurfacing  
  • Widening
  • Median safety improvements
  • Drainage improvements
  • Signing and pavement markings
  • Lighting and signalization  
Public Involvement
  • Lane closures are anticipated.
  • Use caution in the area or consider alternate route.
  • Expect noise from back-up alarms, trucks, and construction equipment.
