About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin a 1.7-mile resurfacing project along State Road (SR) 64 from 43rd Street West to 15th Street West and then from 10th Street West to 10th Street East in Manatee County.  The improvements consist of primarily milling and resurfacing, drainage improvements, updated signing and marking, installing intelligent transportation equipment and signalization, replacing bridge expansion joints, and installing improved lighting for safety.  Pedestrian detours will be needed throughout the work zone.  To minimize the inconvenience, most lane closures will be overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., with the exception of the bridge joint replacement and when cement work is required.  Access to all bus stops will be maintained.
