Project Description

The Florida Department of Transportation began a resurfacing and drainage improvement project on SR 517/US 92 (Wabash Avenue) from US 92 (West Memorial Boulevard) to SR 600 (George Jenkins Boulevard) in February 2022.

Project Improvements

• Installing pipe and new drainage structures beneath the roadway
• Resurfacing Wabash Avenue and side street turnouts
• Constructing sidewalk on Wabash Avenue from West Memorial Boulevard to George Jenkins Boulevard

During drainage structure installation, parts of northbound Wabash Avenue will be closed with local detours. Business and residential access will be maintained during this process.  Sidewalks may also be closed with mid-block crossings provided to guide pedestrians around construction.
