Project improvements include resurfacing from Old Scenic Highway to south of Lake Trask Road. The hump at Old Scenic Highway, across from Florida Avenue will be smoothed out and a right-turn slip lane added for northbound traffic turning right onto Old Scenic Highway next to the Church on the Hill. Some side street entrances will also be repaved for a smooth transition, and roadway shoulders will be reconstructed.  It will be necessary to close Old Scenic Highway at SR 17 next to Church on the Hill during construction with traffic detoured to the other end of Old Scenic Highway across from Race Road. Motorists on SR 17 will not be affected. Motorists should expect daytime lane closures with flaggers directing traffic.
