A new traffic signal is being installed at the intersection of US 98 (Bartow Road) and Colbert Road/Lake Hancock Road in Lakeland as part of an FDOT safety project.  Project improvements include: 

• Adding a traffic signal at US 98 and Colbert Road/Lake Hancock Road
• Improving intersection lighting
• Installing pedestrian signals
• Adding high-visibility crosswalks
• Extending sidewalks to the new crosswalks
• Resurfacing the intersection
• Striping for bike lanes at the right turn lanes

Work may be done during the day or night, although work requiring lane closures will only be done at night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
