The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, welcomes you to the Public Meeting
for the State Road (SR) 25 (US 27) from Shoreline Drive to Davis & Gaines Road project. FDOT is
hosting this Public Meeting to provide you with the opportunity to express your views about the
proposed improvements. Scan the QR code to visit the project website for additional details.
The objective of the project is to extend the service life of the existing pavement and improve safety on SR 25 (US 27) from
Shoreline Drive to Davis & Gaines Road. The improvements include:
• Milling and resurfacing the existing pavement. Inside paved shoulders will be
added in the medians.
• A separate design project for the Tower Street intersection will be constructed
with this project. The intersection will be fully reconstructed with concrete
pavement.
• Bicycle keyhole lanes will be constructed at the right turn lanes.
• Proposed sidewalk improvements to increase pedestrian connectivity.
• Proposed guardrail and traffic signal replacement to meet current standards.
• Modify median openings to improve safety and meet current requirements.
Three full median openings will be converted to directional openings and two
openings will be closed.
o Proposed directional median openings at CR 29, S. Main Ave., and
Heartland Blvd.
o Proposed median closures at Old SR 8, and South of Lake McCoy (no
side street).

SR 25 (US 27) from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road and SR 25 (US 27) from North of Tower Street to South of Tower Street: Construction project: Crews are reconstructing rigid pavement on SR 25 (US 27) from north of Tower Street to south of Tower Street. Additionally, milling and resurfacing work is ongoing on US 27 from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road.
- Traffic has been shifted to the northbound side of the intersection on US 27 at Dal Hall Boulevard and Tower Street for Phase Two. Motorists should expect daytime and nighttime lane closures on both northbound and southbound lanes throughout the project limits.
- Dal Hall Boulevard at US 27 will be closed beginning June 23 for approximately 21 days. Drivers should follow posted detour signs:
·Northbound and southbound traffic can detour via Heartland Boulevard or East Interlake Boulevard.
·Local traffic can use Hillcrest Avenue and Heartland Boulevard for northbound travel, or East Interlake Boulevard for southbound access.
- Northbound and southbound US 27 will remain open.
- Motorists should use caution, as a new median configuration is in place at Heartland Boulevard.
- Inside lane closures northbound and southbound between Lake Clay Drive South and Alderman Drive for median widening.
- Shoulder closures in both directions between Shoreline Drive and south of Interlake Boulevard, and from Lake Clay Drive South to Tomoka Boulevard North, for the lighting scope of work.
- Temporary driveway closures at Wawa and Mobil will continue through July 2025.
- Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone.
Anticipated completion is late 2026.

Additionally, milling and resurfacing work is ongoing on US 27 from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road.
- Traffic has been shifted to the northbound side of the intersection on US 27 at Dal Hall Boulevard and Tower Street for Phase Two. Motorists should expect daytime and nighttime lane closures on both northbound and southbound lanes throughout the project limits.
- Intermittent outside lane closures northbound from CR 17 N to north of David and Gaines Road.
- Median access on US 27 at Heartland Boulevard is closed.
- Dal Hall Boulevard on US 27 is scheduled to close beginning June 23 for approximately 21 consecutive days as part of a road improvement project on US 27. Motorists should follow posted detour routes via Heartland Boulevard or East Interlake Boulevard. Local access will be maintained along Heartland Drive. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Use caution and expect delays in the area.
- Inside lane closures northbound and southbound between Lake Clay Drive South and Alderman Drive for median widening.
- Shoulder closures in both directions between Shoreline Drive and south of Interlake Boulevard, and from Lake Clay Drive South to Tomoka Boulevard North, for the lighting scope of work.
