The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, welcomes you to the Public Meeting
for the State Road (S.R.) 25 (U.S. 27) from Shoreline Drive to Davis & Gaines Road project. FDOT is
hosting this Public Meeting to provide you with the opportunity to express your views about the
proposed improvements. Scan the QR code to visit the project website for additional details.
The objective of the project is to extend the service life of the existing pavement and improve safety on S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from
Shoreline Drive to Davis & Gaines Road. The improvements include:
• Milling and resurfacing the existing pavement. Inside paved shoulders will be
added in the medians.
• A separate design project for the Tower Street intersection will be constructed
with this project. The intersection will be fully reconstructed with concrete
pavement.
• Bicycle keyhole lanes will be constructed at the right turn lanes.
• Proposed sidewalk improvements to increase pedestrian connectivity.
• Proposed guardrail and traffic signal replacement to meet current standards.
• Modify median openings to improve safety and meet current requirements.
Three full median openings will be converted to directional openings and two
openings will be closed.
o Proposed directional median openings at C.R. 29, S. Main Ave., and
Heartland Blvd.
o Proposed median closures at Old SR 8, and South of Lake McCoy (no
side street).

S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road and S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from North of Tower Street to South of Tower Street: Construction project: Crews are reconstructing rigid pavement on S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from north of Tower Street to south of Tower Street. Additionally, milling and resurfacing work is ongoing on U.S. 27 from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road.
- Daily lane closures continue on S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) northbound and southbound for shoulder widening sitewide.
- A new northbound lane shift and traffic pattern at the S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) and Dal Hall Boulevard/Tower Street intersection is scheduled during the week of April 6-7, 2026, under nighttime lane closures. Drivers should use extra caution in this area.
- Beginning April 6-7, 2026, a temporary driveway closure will occur on northbound U.S. 27 near Dunkin’. Motorists should follow posted signage and use alternate access points where available.
- Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone.
Anticipated completion is late 2026.
