  • SR 82 from Ford Street to Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard: The improvements under this contract consist of pedestrian and safety upgrades to include milling, resurfacing, signing and pavement markings, lighting, signalization, and other incidental construction for intersection improvements along SR 82 from Ford Street to Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard.

    • Beginning Monday, April 20, motorists should expect lane closures at the corner of State Road 82 and Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard. Crews will be conducting drainage work. This lane closure is anticipated to remain in place approximately one week. Please note that the construction schedule may change due to weather or other unexpected conditions.

    • Motorists are advised that on, Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at approximately 9 p.m., the new Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB) located just west of Ben Street on State Road 82 (Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard) became fully operational to Pedestrians and motorists.

    • Motorists should expect intermittent nighttime/overnight lane closures on the inside and outside, east and westbound lanes throughout the duration of the project. Closures will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
