The proposed median modification at the intersection of State Road 563 and Pear Street / Parker Street will improve traffic flow and safety by converting the full median opening to a bi-directional median opening. The project includes:

• A northbound/southbound directional median with raised traffic separators at the SR 563 and Pear St / Parker St intersection
• Construction of a raised traffic separator along the southbound to eastbound left turn lane at SR 563 and SR 548 intersection
• Updated signing and pavement marking

The Public Workshop Will be held to present the design concept and provide an opportunity for the public to express their views about the project. The meeting will be held on October 16, 2025, from 4:30-6:30 pm at the Bonnet Springs Park Event Center, 400 Bonnet Springs Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33815. Project information will be available for review and comment at the meeting and on this web page. Comments must be received or postmarked by October 30, 2025, to be included in the workshop record. FDOT will send notices to property owners, business owners, interested persons, and organizations within 300 feet of the project to provide the opportunity to give comments to FDOT regarding the project.
