About
The Florida Department of Transportation is starting a project to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility along Havendale Boulevard in Winter Haven. As part of the project, crews will perform the following work.
· Install new 6-foot-wide sidewalks on the south side of Havendale Boulevard from Lake Blue Drive to 26th Street Northwest
· Upgrade pedestrian signal equipment
· Add High-visibility crosswalks at side streets and intersections
· Mill and resurface side street entrances
· Reconstruct some concrete driveways and curb ramps
· Improving turning radii at some side streets
