About
The State Road (S.R.) 64 improvement project in Hardee County involves a comprehensive set of roadway upgrades aimed at enhancing safety, durability, and overall driving conditions. The project includes milling and resurfacing the existing pavement, reconstructing worn sections of the roadway, and improving drainage systems to prevent water accumulation and reduce erosion. Additional enhancements involve the replacement and installation of guardrails, updated signing and pavement markings for better visibility and traffic guidance, and improvements to driveway turnouts for smoother and safer property access. To help manage traffic during construction, the project will also implement Driveway Assistance Devices (DAD's), a temporary signal, and other temporary traffic control measures to maintain safe and efficient access for both motorists and property owners throughout the work zone.
