About
The Florida Department of Transportation will begin construction on SR 29 from north of Wagon Wheel Road to south of I-75, and on SR 90 (US 41) from south of Southwest Boulevard to north of Thomasson Drive in Collier County.
Improvements for SR 29 and US 41 include:
- Milling and resurfacing
- Shoulder improvements
- New signing and pavement markings
Additional improvements for US 41 include:
- Reconstruction of concrete sidewalks
- Replace curbs and install pedestrian curb ramps
- Replace traffic signal detection loops
Construction is scheduled to begin in late May 2025 and is anticipated to be completed in December 2025. Schedule is tentative, subject to change and weather permitting. Estimated project cost is $9 million.
Motorists should anticipate lane closures during construction. Please exercise caution in the work zone and anticipate delays.
- SR 29: Motorists should anticipate intermittent single or double lane closures throughout the duration of construction.
- US 41: Motorists should anticipate single lane closures during the overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and double lane closures during the overnight hours from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. throughout the duration of construction.
