About

The State Road (S.R.) 15 (U.S. 98) project in Okeechobee County focuses on resurfacing and infrastructure enhancements along a 1.337-mile stretch from SW 23rd Street to SW 3rd Street. The improvements include milling and resurfacing the existing pavement to provide a smoother driving surface, updating pavement markings for better lane visibility, and installing curb and gutter to improve drainage. The project also includes the installation of detectable warning surfaces at pedestrian crossings to meet ADA compliance standards, as well as traffic detection loops at SW 21st Street to improve signal responsiveness. These upgrades aim to enhance roadway safety, accessibility, and traffic flow in the area.
