The Florida Department of Transportation will begin work in late March on two projects along SR 15/US 441/SR 700/Parrott Avenue in Okeechobee County. Project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing, base work, drainage improvements, curb and gutters, sidewalk, signing and pavement markings, and other incidental construction activities in the approximately .03-mile project area.

  • US 98 (SR 15/US441/Parrott Avenue) from SW 3rd Street to SW 5th Street Crews are scheduled to begin work on SR 15 / US 441 at SW 4th Street on December 2, 2024. SW 4th Street will also be closed during construction activities.

    • Crews will work nightshift saw cutting across the roadway, followed by the closure of the southbound outside lane of SR 15 / US 441 between SW 2nd Street and SW 5th Street. Motorists should use caution in the area and remain alert for workers and equipment in the construction zone.

    Expected completion is Approximately 17 days
