About
This project is designed to enhance safety, improve roadway conditions, and extend the life of the corridor along SR 60 from Saddlebag Lake Road to east of Tiger Lake Road
The project includes:
Milling and resurfacing the roadway
Drainage improvements
Guardrail installation
Lighting upgrades
Bridge railing enhancements
Pavement grooving
These upgrades will provide a smoother driving surface, improved stormwater management, increased visibility, and enhanced roadside safety.
Intersection Safety Improvements
A key component of this project focuses on improving safety at the intersection of SR 60 and Walk-in-Water Road/Boy Scout Camp Road. To reduce conflict points and increase safety, the existing full median opening on SR 60 will be converted to a two-way directional median opening.
What This Means for Motorists
Crossing movements from Walk-in-Water Road and Boy Scout Camp Road across SR 60 will be removed.
Motorists will be required to make a right turn onto SR 60, followed by a U-turn at the nearest designated median opening to travel in the opposite direction.
Left turns from SR 60 onto Walk-in-Water Road and Boy Scout Camp Road will continue to be permitted.
These changes are designed to reduce the potential for severe crashes while maintaining convenient access for drivers.

Expect daily lane closures on the inside and outside lane for sod shoulder treatment and work on the median opening as crews prepare to pave the final layer of asphalt on the left-turn-only lanes and in the median. Use caution and be prepared to merge.
