About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin a safety improvement project in July 2025 at the intersection of U.S. 441 and SE 28th Street in Okeechobee County. Covering approximately 0.04 miles, the $900,000 project includes milling and resurfacing, installation of curb and gutter, sidewalk construction and widening, upgraded lighting, traffic signal enhancements, new signage, pavement markings, and traffic loop assemblies.
