About

FDOT has identified the need for safety improvements to US 27 ( State Road 25) at Sebring Parkway in the City of Sebring, Highlands County. The project goal is to improve pedestrian safety and reduce crashes.

The design consists of improvements to the existing traffic signals, lighting, signing and crosswalks at the intersection.  The crosswalk improvements will shorten the crossing distances by adding a pedestrian island and minor changes to the roadway geometry.  A raised median will also be constructed in place of the bidirectional left turn lane on Sebring Parkway to reduce conflicts between vehicles.

This project will be constructed with other nearby projects: 451270-1, 455182-1, 451361-1, and 452621-1.
