Public Involvement
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a hybrid public meeting for State Road (S.R.) 45 or U.S. 41/U.S. 41B from South of S.R. 758 (Bee Ridge Road) to South of S.R. 683 (U.S. 301) Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation (RRR) project, including median modifications, on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community with an opportunity to review the project design, view the video presentation and exhibits, discuss with the project team, and provide comment.
FDOT provides multiple ways to participate in the public meeting, either by attending in-person, online (virtual) or reviewing materials on the project website https://www.swflroads.com/project/452784-1. All meeting materials, including the project video, will be available online. You may choose any combination of these options to participate.
· In-Person: Attend in person anytime from 5-7 p.m. at the Sarasota County Selby Library, Jack J. Geldbart Auditorium, 1331 1st St, Sarasota, FL 34236. The video presentation will replay automatically and be available on the project website.
· Online: Attend virtually from a computer, tablet or mobile device from 5– 7 p.m. You must register in advance by visiting https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/7812828815712549979 Once registered, attendees will receive a confirmation email containing directions on how to participate. The video presentation will replay automatically and be available on the project website.
FDOT is sending notices to all property owners, business owners, interested persons and organizations in over a 300-foot area from the project limits.
