About

The bridge improvement project on State Road 78 in Glades County involves essential maintenance and structural enhancements to two key bridges: Bridge No. 050057 over Fisheating Creek and Bridge No. 050058 over the Herbert Hoover Bridge. The planned improvements include repairing spalled concrete to restore structural integrity, installing pile jackets to protect and reinforce bridge supports, replacing worn expansion joints to ensure smoother and safer bridge movement, and upgrading ditch pavement for better drainage and erosion control. In addition, the project will involve new signing and pavement markings to enhance roadway safety and visibility for motorists. These improvements are designed to extend the service life of the bridges and improve overall roadway conditions along this corridor.
