Project Description

The Florida Department of Transportation constructed a roundabout at State Road 72 Clark Road and Proctor Road / Dove Avenue. This replaced the current signalized intersection with a free-flowing roundabout that provides improved mobility through the corridor; reduces speeding through the intersection; enhances vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian safety; and reduces vehicle emissions by reducing vehicle idle times.

Project Improvements

• Constructed a free-flowing roundabout replacing the signalized intersection
• Milled and resurfaced SR 72 to improve roadway condition, drainage, and skid control
• Updated signing, pavement markings, lighting, sidewalk and guardrail

Landscaping

The work under this contract consist of installation and establishment of landscaping at SR 72 and Proctor Rd Roundabout.
