The proposed improvements consist of widening the existing two-lane undivided roadway to a six-lane divided roadway from State Road 80 (Palm Beach Boulevard) to State Road 78 (Bayshore Road), replacing the Wilson Pigott Bridge over the Caloosahatchee River with a high-span fixed bridge, and reconfiguring the existing State Road 31/State Road 80 intersection.
