The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is designing improvements to Business US 41 (9th Street W) in Manatee County. In order to improve mobility and reduce congestion along Business US 41, the proposed improvement will restrict northbound left-turn movements at the intersection of Business US 41 (9th Street W) and Manatee Avenue W. Northbound left-turning drivers will be rerouted to turn right onto 6th Avenue W, turn left onto 8th Street W and turn left onto Manatee Avenue W in order to travel west. This will also allow for the extension of the southbound left turn lane at the intersection of Business US 41 (9th Street W) and 6th Avenue W.

A public meeting is being held to present information about the proposed safety improvements. There will be three options to attend the public meeting:

IN-PERSON:  The in-person public meeting will be held on September 21, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Manatee Performing Arts Center at 502 3rd Avenue W, Bradenton, FL 34205.

All meeting materials will be available on the project website from September 18 through October 6, 2023. A copy of these materials will also be displayed at the in-person meeting.  You may choose any combination of the options provided to review the materials and to submit your comments.
