FAQs

What is the purpose of this project?

The purpose of this project is to improve safety and efficiency along the corridor. This will include milling and resurfacing to increase the roadway's longevity and improve the motorists' overall drive. A few areas of the roadway will be widened, and new turn lanes will be constructed.

What can we expect from this project?

Plans for this project will include updated signalization. Skyline Boulevard, Nicholas Parkway, and Hancock Bridge Parkway will have the span wire removed and be replaced with new mast arms. Chiquita Boulevard will remain a span-wire system. Skyline Boulevard was not previously a signalized intersection but will become one as a result of this project.

There will be new additions and upgrades to the street lighting and signage along the project limits to assist motorists. Additionally, there will be new pavement markings to help guide both pedestrians and motorists.

When will the project be completed?

The project began in August of 2024 and remains on schedule for an estimated completion of Summer 2025.

Please note that the construction schedule may change due to weather or other unexpected conditions.
