About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin milling and resurfacing
improvements on State Road 78 (SR 78) from north of Herbert Hoover Dike to County Road 721 starting in March 2025.  The project limits are approximately a mile in length. This project aims to enhance roadway safety and durability by improving pavement conditions. The estimated project cost is $1.1million. Lane closures and traffic pattern changes will be in place during construction.

  • SR 78 from North of Herbert Hoover Dike to County Road 721: Construction project: Crews will be removing and replacing the existing asphalt pavement along the SR 78 corridor between the north side of the Herbert Hoover Dike and County Road 721.

    • Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers, signage, flagging operations and equipment throughout the project.

            Completion is expected in Mid 2025.
