About

The Florida Department of Transportation will commence milling, resurfacing, shoulder treatment, lighting, signalization and pavement improvements on US 41 from west of West Villages Parkway to west of Woodmere Road in mid-2025. 

This project is one section of a three-part project that begins in late August, with the potential for crews working on all three projects throughout the construction zones.

This project limits on this section cover approximately 5 miles and the estimated project cost is $8.1 million.

  • US 41 from West of West Villages Parkway to Woodmere Road: Construction project: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin milling and resurfacing US 41 from west of West Villages Parkway to Woodmere Road. The project limits cover approximately 5 miles. In addition to resurfacing crews will perform shoulder treatment, install vehicle detection systems and apply new signing and pavement markings.

    • Motorists can expect temporary nighttime lane closures throughout the project.
    • Motorists can expect crews to be present intermittently during the day throughout the project.

    Expected completion is late 2026.
