About

The Florida Department of Transportation is milling, resurfacing and installing pavement markings on 2.2 miles of roadway on I-275 (S.R. 93) from I-75 to Tera Ceia River in Manatee County. The project improvements include milling and resurfacing, shoulder and ramp work, overbuild for cross slope correction, guardrail and signing and pavement markings. The project’s estimated cost is $8.7 million. Project completion is expected in late summer 2026.

  • I-275 (SR 93) from I-75 to Terra Ceia River: Construction project: Crews are milling, resurfacing and installing pavement markings on 2.2 miles of roadway on I-275 (SR 93) from I-75 to Terra Ceia River. The project improvements include milling and resurfacing, shoulder and ramp work, overbuild for cross slope correction, guardrail and signing and pavement markings. 

    •  Motorists can expect single-lane closures on I-275 overnight throughout construction.
      • On November 9-13, expect a single-lane closure on westbound I-275 overnight.
    • Motorists can expect on- and off-ramp closures at the intersection of U.S. 41 and I-275 with overnight detours. Starting in October, one ramp at a time will close overnight for the removal and installation of new guardrails (weather permitting). Motorists can expect to see workers, signs and detours throughout the guardrail project.
    • Currently, motorists may wish to use alternate routes if they travel in the area from 7 p.m. until 7:30 a.m. After November 9, project time will change to 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

    Estimated completion is late summer 2026.
