About

The Florida Department of Transportation will commence milling, resurfacing and installing pavement markings on 2.2 miles of roadway on I-275 (SR 93) from I-75 to Tera Ceia River in Manatee County in late August, 2025. The project improvements include milling and resurfacing, shoulder and ramp work, overbuild for cross slope correction, guardrail and signing and pavement markings. The project’s estimated cost is $8.7 million. Project completion is expected in late summer 2026.

  • I-275 (SR 93) from I-75 to Terra Ceia River: Construction project: Crews will begin milling, resurfacing and installing pavement markings on 2.2 miles of roadway on I-275 (SR 93) from I-75 to Terra Ceia River in late August, 2025. The project improvements include milling and resurfacing, shoulder and ramp work, overbuild for cross slope correction, guardrail and signing and pavement markings. 

    • Motorists can expect single-lane closures on I-275 overnight throughout construction
    • Motorists can expect on- and off-ramp closures at the intersection of  US 41 and I-275 with overnight detours. Only one ramp will be closed at a time
    • Motorists may wish to use alternate routes if traveling in the area from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

    Estimated completion is late summer 2026
