About
The Florida Department of Transportation is milling, resurfacing and installing pavement markings on 2.2 miles of roadway on I-275 (S.R. 93) from I-75 to Tera Ceia River in Manatee County. The project improvements include milling and resurfacing, shoulder and ramp work, overbuild for cross slope correction, guardrail and signing and pavement markings. The project’s estimated cost is $8.7 million. Project completion is expected in late summer 2026.

I-275 (S.R. 93) from I-75 to Terra Ceia River: Construction project: Crews are milling, resurfacing, and installing pavement markings on 2.2 miles of roadway on I-275 (S.R. 93) from I-75 to Terra Ceia River. The project improvements include milling and resurfacing, shoulder and ramp work, overbuilding for cross-slope correction, guardrail and signing, and pavement markings.
Upcoming overnight lane closures for paving from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. - weather and materials availability permitting.
o On June 30, Ramp C and B (at Exit 2) will be closed.
o On June 29, Ramp A and D (at Exit 2) will be closed
- Flyover closure on .I-275 southbound to I-75 northbound June 29
Please follow the posted detours.
Lane closures on I-275:
o June 25, there will be a single lane closure on southbound I-275
o June 28-30, there will be a single lane closure on northbound I-275
o June 28 –30, there will be a single lane closure on southbound I-275
o July 6-9, single lane closure on southbound and northbound I-275, if needed
Throughout the project limits motorists can expect intermittent lane closures as crews continue sign installation operations.
During the active construction phase, motorists can expect uneven pavement throughout the project limits. Please use caution and follow the posted speed limits.
Estimated completion is mid- to late-2026.
