This FDOT project will improve the ride quality of S.R. 37 (North Church Avenue in Mulberry / South Florida Avenue in Lakeland) by milling the top layer of existing asphalt and repaving the roadway and side street entrances. Rumble strips will also be installed along the edge lines to improve safety by providing audible and tactile warnings if drivers drift out of their lane.

The speed limit will remain the same during construction. Lane closures will occur only at night and overnight hours. Drivers should use caution and be prepared to merge. Work is scheduled primarily Sunday through Thursday nights, with weekend work as needed.
