The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin milling and resurfacing  S.R. 64 from west of C.R. 675 to Wingate Road in Manatee County. The improvements consist of milling and resurfacing, drainage, curb and gutter, signing and pavement markings. This project spans  approximately 10.9 miles in length with an estimated cost of $8.3 million.

  • The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin milling and resurfacing  S.R. 64 from west of C.R. 675 to Wingate Road in Manatee County. The improvements consist of milling and resurfacing, drainage, curb and gutter, signing and pavement markings. This project spans  approximately 10.9 miles in length with an estimated cost of $8.3 million.

    • Motorists can expect temporary daytime/overnight  lane closures throughout the project limits.
    • Motorists can expect workers and construction equipment during daytime /overnight hours.
    • Motorists can expect uneven lanes during the milling and paving operations.
    • Expected completion is spring of 2027, weather permitting.
