About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is proposing improvements along State Road (S.R.) 45 (U.S. 41/N Cleveland Avenue) in North Fort Myers, Lee County. The purpose of the project is to extend the service life of the existing roadway by repaving all lanes from the Caloosahatchee River Bridge (#120002) to north of Pondella Road. FDOT is also proposing safety modifications to the continuous right turn lanes along the corridor as well as evaluating existing curb ramps and sidewalks to ensure compliance with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Additional improvements include upgrades to existing traffic signals within the project limits and updates to signing and pavement markings.
