About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin the construction phase for Financial Project Identification (FIN) numbers 454456-1 and 454456-2, which are being delivered together to improve safety and roadway visibility along U.S. 17 in Hardee County from Rea Road to State Road (S.R.) 62, a distance of approximately two miles. The project includes installing new traffic signals at the intersections of U.S. 17 (S.R. 35) and S.R. 62, adding roadway lighting at intersections including Rea Road, S.R. 35, and S.R. 62, and enhancing overall traffic safety and nighttime visibility for drivers and pedestrians.
