This roadway project proposes widening SR 64 from a two-lane undivided facility up to a fourlane
divided facility and/or the inclusion of operational improvements between Lorraine Road and
Verna Bethany Road in unincorporated Manatee County. The project is approximately 7.75 miles
in length. Bicycle and pedestrian accommodations will also be considered along the project
segment where appropriate.

FDOT will collect input from the local community and public officials from Manatee County to establish the community’s vision for the corridor. This input will assist FDOT in developing the proposed alternatives. Public involvement documents will be added to the project website as the study progresses.
