About
UPCOMING PUBLIC MEETING – TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH, 2026, and THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26TH, 2026
FDOT invites you to an upcoming public meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to share the alternatives and analysis completed to date, and to provide the public an opportunity to comment for the official meeting record. Read the Public Involvement section below for all information.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate multimodal alternatives for the main north-south corridor on Anna Maria Island traversing cities of Bradenton Beach and Holmes Beach. FDOT will consider strategies to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety and enhance mobility options for all users along the study corridor while maintaining the quality of life for residents and visitors. Multimodal alternatives will be studied to meet the project needs and goals. The No-build Alternative will also be studied. Each alternative will be evaluated for potential impacts on the natural, social, cultural, and physical environment. Minimizing environmental impacts while enhancing the future transportation needs integrated with the community’s vision and character will also be an important project goal.
