About

This FDOT project is designed to improve the rideability of SR 37 by milling out the old asphalt and repaving the roadway and side street entrances. For added safety, rumble strips will be installed on the edge and center lines to provide an audible and tactile warning alerting inattentive drivers that they are drifting out of their lane.

During Construction:

Due to the amount of traffic on SR 37, lane closures will be restricted to nighttime/overnight hours, generally starting at 7 p.m. and ending by 6 a.m.

During the third phase of construction, Old State Hwy 37 will be closed at the intersection with SR 37 for approximately 14 days.  Motorists on Old State Hwy 37 will be detoured using CR 640 to SR 37. Watch for detour signs. Motorists on SR 37 will not be affected.

The speed limit during construction will not exceed 50 mph throughout the work zone.

This project is combined with the resurfacing project further south on SR 37 from north of SR 674 to CR 630. (450892-1). Both projects have different lane closure restrictions and speed limits so be sure to review information on each project for detailed information.
