About

This FDOT resurfacing project improves the rideability of SR 37 by milling the existing asphalt and repaving the roadway and side street entrances. For added safety, rumble strips were installed along the edge and center lines to provide audible and tactile warnings to alert drivers when they are drifting out of their travel lane.

During construction, lane closures were restricted to nighttime and overnight hours due to the high volume of traffic on SR 37, generally beginning at 7 p.m. and ending by 6 a.m.

This project was combined with a resurfacing project further south on SR 37 from north of SR 674 to CR 630 (Financial Project ID 450892-1). Both projects had different lane closure restrictions and speed limits during construction.

The project was completed on March 11, 2026, approximately one month ahead of schedule.
