About

This FDOT resurfacing project improved the rideability of SR 37 by milling the existing asphalt and replacing it with new asphalt. To improve safety, the edge lines and center lines include rumble strips designed to provide a tactile and audible vibration to alert drivers when they are leaving the travel lane.

The speed limit remained 60 mph during construction. There were no lane closure restrictions on this section of SR 37, and motorists encountered lane closures with flaggers directing traffic during daytime and nighttime/overnight operations.

The project was completed on March 11, 2026, approximately one month ahead of schedule.
