To improve safety and traffic flow, the FDOT will add a new traffic signal at the intersection of S.R. 544 (Lucerne Park Road) and Old Lucerne Park Road East. In addition to the new traffic signal, pedestrian signals, high visibility crosswalks, and lighting will be added around the intersection. A concrete traffic separator will be constructed between the east and westbound lanes on Lucerne Park Road west of the intersection. 

During construction, motorists should expect lane closures at night/overnight. 

The project is one of three combined into one contract to add signals at three separate intersections throughout FDOT District 1
