About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has advanced this project as a part of the Moving Florida Forward Infrastructure Initiative, a statewide effort to deliver congestion relief faster and more efficiently to Florida’s residents and visitors.
The purpose of this project is to increase capacity, improve traffic operations, and enhance safety on I-75 from Golden Gate Parkway to Alico Road within Collier and Lee Counties. Proposed improvements include adding segments of additional lanes (including auxiliary and express lanes) in both directions, a new diverging diamond interchange at Immokalee Road, ramp modifications at key interchanges, resurfacing, and noise walls at qualifying locations. These improvements are designed to meet travel needs well into the future.
Public Involvement
FDOT will host public meetings for the improvements to Interstate 75 (I-75) from north of Golden Gate Parkway to south of Alico Road. The in-person public meetings will be held as “open houses” from 4 – 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, in Lee County and Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Collier County.
