S.R. 70 from Lorraine Road to Bourneside Boulevard: Construction project: This project includes widening S.R. 70 from Lorraine Road to Bourneside Boulevard from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane or six-lane divided roadway, depending on the location, construction of roundabouts on S.R. 70 at Uihlein Road, Del Webb Boulevard, and Bourneside Boulevard, intersection improvements at the existing signalized intersection of Greenbrook Boulevard and Lorraine Road, construction of four bridges over two Braden River crossing locations, new drainage system, construction of 10-foot shared use paths, street lighting, and landscaping, and installation of new fiber optic cable connecting the two signalized intersections to Manatee County’s regional Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS).
Notice: Please refrain from entering the work zone. New pavement has recently been installed that gives the impression of completed areas of work, but these areas are still active and use by non-project staff is a safety hazard as trucks, equipment, and work is ongoing. All new shared use paths and roadways remain closed until further notice. The work zone is an active construction area. For the safety of all, please stay out of the work area.
This week’s work will consist of:
- Excavation of the pond on the north side of S.R. 70, west of Uihlein Road.
- Driving bridge piles for the easternmost westbound bridge.
- Grading stabilization and base between Bourneside Boulevard and Polo Run on the north side of S.R. 70.
- Installing drainage on the north side of S.R.70 between Uihlein Road and Bourneside Boulevard.
- Installing new signal hardware at the intersection of Post Boulevard and S.R. 70.
- Installing light conduit and foundations on the north side of S.R.70 between Uihlein Road and Bourneside Boulevard.
- Night work will occur at the Lorraine Road and S.R. 70 intersection to make signalization enhancements to the existing overhead spans. Signal heads will be added, relocated, and detection added in this operation. This work will last two consecutive nights and will involve various lane closures. Please use caution when traveling through the area and be aware of flaggers.
Please use caution and watch for trucks and construction vehicles entering or exiting the work zone throughout the construction limits. S.R. 55 (U.S. 19) and S.R. 684; from 23rd Avenue W to 39th Street E, from Terra Ceia Road to I-275 and at Royal Palm Drive, Manatee: Construction project: These projects include making improvements along S.R. 55 (U.S. 19) from 23rd Avenue W to 39th Street E, S.R. 55 (U.S. 19) from Terra Ceia Road to I-275 (northbound ramp) and along S.R. 684 at Royal Palm Drive in Manatee County. Improvements will involve milling and resurfacing S.R. 55 from 23rd Avenue W to 39th Street E implementing safety improvements, guardrail replacements, sidewalk repair, lighting updates, pedestrian signal replacements, and median modifications.
· S.R. 55 (U.S. 301/U.S. 41) from 23rd Avenue W. to 39th Street E. - Daily sidewalk closures are scheduled for the next two weeks to accommodate directional bores and open-trench conduit installation. Work will take place during daytime hours beginning Monday, January 5, 2026, and continue throughout the week. No lane closures are expected during the daytime hours; however, pedestrian access will be detoured. Please follow the posted temporary pedestrian detour route.
· S.R. 684 (Cortez Road) between 103rd Street Court W. and 99th Street W. – Crews will install a signal pole foundation on S.R. 684 (Cortez Road) between 103rd Street Court W. and 99th Street W. Work will take place overnight Tuesday, January 6, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate outside lane closure on SR 684 (Cortez Road) in the eastbound direction. Please use caution and watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zone.
The estimated completion date for construction is spring 2027.

S. R. 70 from Bourneside Boulevard to Waterbury Road, Bradenton: Construction project: This project includes widening S.R. 70 from Bourneside Boulevard to Waterbury Road from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway, Safety features will include roundabouts to be constructed at 197th Street East/Lindrick Lane, 213th Street East, 225th Street East/Panther Ridge Trail and County Road 675/Waterbury Road. The project will also include the installation of a new drainage system, new curb and gutter, construction of 10-foot shared-use paths and five-foot paved shoulders on both sides of the roadway, street lighting throughout the project and landscaping inside the roundabouts.

· Continuing eastbound construction with base work between Panther Ridge Trail and east of Meadow Dove Lane on the south side of S.R. 70.
· Grading for curb, stabilization and base east of Lindrick Lane for future eastbound lanes and shared use path.
· Grading stabilization west of Lindrick Lane for future eastbound lanes.
· Backfilling of a box culvert between Lindrick Lane and 213th Street within the existing S.R. 70 lanes where traffic was previously diverted.
· Clearing on the north side of S.R. 70 for future shared-use path at 197th Street.
· Relocating utilities on the north side of S.R. 70.
Meadow Dove Lane will be closed beginning January 12, 2026, for construction of the south portion of the Meadow Dove Lane/C.R. 675 roundabout. During the closure, no traffic will be permitted to enter or exit Meadow Dove Lane via S.R. 70. A full detour will be in place, with message boards directing traffic along the detour route. The closure is expected to remain in effect for approximately 60 days.

OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES ON S.R. 789 AND BIRD KEY INTERSECTION
SARASOTA, Fla. – Contractors for the Florida Department of Transportation will implement overnight lane closures at the S.R. 789 and Bird Key intersection on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Single inside-lane closures will be in place in both the eastbound and westbound directions.
Motorists can expect nighttime noise from backup alarms, construction equipment, and power tools. Drivers are urged to use caution and watch for workers, construction vehicles, pickup trucks, and equipment entering or exiting the travel lanes.

S.R. 789 from Bird Key Drive to Sunset Drive: Construction project: This project includes the addition of dedicated bicycle and transit lanes on the bridge, drainage upgrades, and raising the seawall cap near Sunset Drive. Other project activities include resurfacing the roadway throughout the project corridor and the installation of new traffic signals at the intersections of Sunset Drive, Golden Gate Drive, and Bird Key Drive. The project also includes relocating palm trees and small shrubs from their current locations on the eastern area of the John Ringling Causeway to medians closer to St. Armands Circle.
This week’s work will consist of:
· Mobilize construction equipment, including delivery of machinery and materials.
· Install Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) signs and devices.
· Install temporary pedestrian paths around the work zone. Please use designated paths and follow posted detour signs.
· Clear within the right of way and install erosion-control devices.
Lane closures will be in place during various phases of the project. Initial pre-phase work involves building a temporary roadway for use during subsequent phases. This work will not impact existing travel lane configuration.
Construction will primarily take place during daytime hours, with occasional nighttime work. Expect noise from backup alarms, construction equipment, pumps, and power tools during daytime and nighttime operations.
During construction, the speed limit on Gulfstream Avenue and John Ringling Causeway/S.R. 789 will be reduced to 35 mph. Speeding fines are doubled in the construction zone when workers are present. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously and watch for workers, construction vehicles, pickup trucks, and other equipment entering or exiting travel lanes.

This week workers will continue installing new water mains along the east side of Lakeland Hills Boulevard and preparing subgrade along Gilmore Avenue.
- Gilmore Avenue remains closed from Parkview Place to Julius T. Horney Drive through late January. The closure is necessary as crews pave Gilmore Avenue and install curb. Follow posted detour signs to navigate around the closure.
- Watch for side street closures along the east side of Lakeland Hills Boulevard as crews work to install new storm drains and water lines. Any side street closures will utilize the adjacent side streets to route traffic east towards Gilmore Avenue to the respective closed street.
- Traffic will remain in one lane in each direction for most of the duration of construction. Use caution, be prepared to merge or stop, and plan for delays.

S.R. 29 from Oklahoma Avenue to Park Avenue: Construction project: Crews are performing drainage improvements, ditch reconstruction, pavement reconstruction, and other incidental construction activities along State Road 29 from Oklahoma Avenue to Park Avenue.
- Phase 1: North Lee Street will be closed between Washington Avenue and Fort Thompson Avenue, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, at 7 a.m. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately three weeks.
- Detour: Traffic will be routed along Washington Avenue, State Road 29 (Bridge Street), and Fort Thompson Avenue.
- Motorists should expect delays, follow posted detour signs, and use caution while traveling through the area.
- Drivers are urged to watch for workers, equipment, and changing traffic patterns in the construction zone.
Estimated completion is the spring of 2026.

S.R. 66 from U.S. 17 (S.R. 35) to Charlie Creek: Construction project: Crews have completed major reconstruction activities along S.R. 66 from U.S. 17 to Charlie Creek. The project included milling and resurfacing, sidewalk construction, drainage improvements, guardrail installation, curb and gutter work, new pavement markings, and other safety enhancements.
- The newly reconstructed roadway is open to traffic in both directions.
- Moving striping operations will take place Sunday night and Monday night along S.R. 66.
- Motorists should anticipate longer delays in queues, follow posted signs, follow the speed limit, and consider alternative routes.
Estimated project completion is early 2026.

S.R. 70 from Peace River to Southeast Baker Street: Construction project: Crews will reconstruct approximately 3.4 miles of S.R. 70 within the City of Arcadia. The project includes the installation of new drainage facilities, relocation and addition of sanitary and water and utilities, upgrading traffic signals, reconstructing sidewalks, and installing street lighting in various locations. During construction, lane closures will occur on S.R. 70. Temporary pedestrian pathways are in place while sidewalks are under construction. Detours will be implemented while crews work on side roads. Please follow posted signage and use caution in the area.
- Eastbound S.R. 70 traffic is currently using the right lane from the Peace River to Baldwin Avenue. Between Baldwin Avenue and Dade Avenue, traffic shifts to the left lane, then back to the right lane past Dade Avenue. No lane restrictions are in place past Baker Street.
- Westbound S.R. 70 traffic shifts onto the south side of the roadway past Baker Street to facilitate construction of a new box culvert. Past Roger Avenue, traffic utilizes the newly constructed left lane until Luther Avenue. Between Luther Avenue and Manatee Avenue, westbound traffic is using the right lane. At Manatee Avenue, traffic shifts into the newly constructed left lane. No lane restrictions are in place past the Peace River.
- Starting 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, through 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2025, rotating lane closures will occur on northbound U.S. 17 (Brevard Avenue) at eastbound S.R. 70 (Magnolia Avenue) to facilitate City of Arcadia utility installation. Truck traffic turning from eastbound S.R. 70 onto northbound U.S. 17 will be detoured onto Pine Street via southbound U.S. 17. From Pine Street, trucks may return to northbound U.S. 17. Motorists and truck drivers should follow posted detour signs and use caution in the area. Traffic on Pine Street should allow extra space for turning trucks.
- Motorists are urged to use caution when approaching traffic shifts and to follow all lane markings and posted signage.

S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road and S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from North of Tower Street to South of Tower Street: Construction project: Crews are reconstructing rigid pavement on S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from north of Tower Street to south of Tower Street. Additionally, milling and resurfacing work is ongoing on U.S. 27 from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road.
- Nightly lane closures will occur from Tuesday, Jan. 20, through Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, for signalization span wire installation and roadway widening at the Dal Hall intersection.
- Daily lane closures will continue both northbound and southbound U.S. 27 for shoulder widening activities throughout the project limits.
- Shoulder closures are in place in both directions throughout the project limits for outside shoulder widening activities.
- Intermittent lane closures will continue to occur throughout the corridor as construction progresses.
- Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone.

U.S. 41 (S.R. 45) from North of U.S. 19 (S.R. 55) to 69th Street East (Erie Road). Construction project: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will construct median modifications to reduce conflict points and improve safety starting in early 2026. The project improvements include drainage, guardrail, milling and resurfacing on U.S. 41 from north of S.R. 55 (U.S. 19) to north of 69th Street East (Erie Road). Crews will apply new signing and pavement markings once the final paving has been completed. The project limits are approximately 2.6 miles.
- Through January 31, motorists can expect interior lane closures on U.S. 41 at 61st Street East and 16th Avenue East as crews to begin concrete, drainage, and guardrail work in the median

Fruitville Road (SR 780) at Beneva Road: Construction/safety project: Crews are working on milling and resurfacing, widening, pavement reconstruction, driveway and turn lane improvements, sidewalks and curb, drainage modifications, signing and pavement markings and signalization on a .15-mile stretch of Fruitville Road, including the intersection at Beneva Road and Fruitville Road.
- Motorists can expect nighttime lane closures throughout construction.

U.S. 27 (S.R. 25) at S.R. 78 Intersection: Construction project: Crews will be reconstructing the intersection with concrete pavement. Other improvements include milling, resurfacing, drainage, guardrail, signing, and pavement markings. Please use caution in the area and watch for workers, traffic signage, detours, and equipment throughout the project.
- Both S.R. 78 and U.S. 27 have reopened, and traffic is now operating normally.
- Intermittent lane closures will occur on S.R. 78 and U.S. 27 from Jan. 5 through Jan. 28, 2026, to accommodate concrete grinding and moving thermoplastic operations.
- Intermittent lane closures will also occur at the eastbound U.S. 27 left-turn lane to Industrial Drive and along Industrial Drive between U.S. 27 and the Glades Business Park entrance from Jan. 5 through Jan. 16, 2026, to adjust manhole grades and repave friction course. Traffic needing to access Industrial Drive will be directed to use the entrance from S.R. 78

SR 777 River Road from I-75 to US 41: Construction project: Road embankment installation continues on the northbound roadway from Aucilla Drive to US 41, and Venice Avenue to I-75. As embankment is completed, drainage installations, subgrade mixing, curb placement, and roadway grading will continue. Sod installation, signal, ITS, and lighting work are ongoing. Trucks will be crossing the road at various locations using intermittent flagging operations. Pothole maintenance will continue as necessary on all current travel ways through the project. Work to construct the Bridge Church driveway is planned to commence in the coming weeks. Crews will conduct daytime and nighttime asphalt paving operations on the future northbound lanes (including some paving for shared-use paths) starting on January 26 and continuing for approximately one week. This will not affect the traveling public.

West Main Street from Hanchey Road to west of Florida Avenue: Construction project: Crews have begun a construction project along West Main Street from Hanchey Road to west of Florida Avenue. The project includes sidewalk construction, drainage improvements, curb and gutter work, new pavement markings, and replacement of ADA-compliant curb ramps.
- Driveway closures will occur at various locations throughout the project limits from Monday, January 8-17,2026, as crews continue sidewalk and drainage work. Access will be maintained where possible, and advance notice will be provided to affected properties.
- Additional shoulder and lane closures may take place as construction progresses
- Motorists should use caution, reduce speed, and watch for workers and equipment in the area.

S.R. 789 from the Coquina Park entrance to S.R. 64 (Manatee Avenue West): Construction project: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be milling and resurfacing approximately four miles of S.R. 789 from the Coquina Park entrance to S.R. 64/Manatee Avenue West in fall 2025. In addition to milling and resurfacing, crews will install traffic monitoring devices and will apply new signing and pavement markings. To minimize inconvenience, the project will be done overnight. The project was accelerated to start just after turtle nesting season ends in 2025, and is expected to finish before the next nesting season starts in 2026.
- Motorists can expect overnight single-lane closures through the length of the project.
- Please be aware of workers and construction equipment /noise during the overnight hours. Plan for additional time or choose an alternate route if possible.

SR 865 (Six Mile Cypress Parkway) from east of U.S. 41 to west of Metro Parkway: Construction Project: The improvements under this project will include milling and resurfacing of the roadway, sidewalk, and pavement markings on SR 865 from east of US 41 to west of Metro Parkway in Lee County.

SR 80 (Palm Beach Boulevard) from Veronica S Shoemaker Boulevard to Kingston Drive: Construction Project: The improvements under this Contract consist of pedestrian and safety upgrades to include milling, resurfacing, signing and pavement markings, lighting, signalization, and other incidental construction for intersection improvements along SR 80 from Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard to Kingston Drive.
- Motorists should expect intermittent nighttime/overnight lane closures on the inside and outside, eastbound and westbound lanes throughout the duration of the project. Closures will take place between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.

- Motorists should expect a closure beginning Sunday, November 2, 2025. A detour will be set in place to facilitate a road closure on Marion Street, set in place by the city of Fort Myers utilities. Detour signs are to be set in place on the City of Fort Myers and FDOT right-of-way.

S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from Stitt Ranch to west of Flaghole Road: Construction project: Crews will begin milling and resurfacing work on S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from Stitt Ranch to west of Flaghole Road in Hendry County. The project includes guardrail improvements, drainage enhancements, updated signage, and new pavement markings.
- Crews will continue guardrail installation along the westbound outside shoulder and sod installation throughout the corridor.
- Drivers should use caution in the area and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone. Shoulder closures and intermittent lane closures may occur during construction.
- Motorists should expect possible traffic shifts and delays. Access to local driveways and businesses will be maintained at all times.

U.S. 41 (SR 45) from 63rd Avenue to 53rd Avenue: Construction project: Crews have begin a safety project on U.S. 41 from 63rd Avenue to 53rd Avenue. The project limits cover approximately 1.27 miles. Crews will install curb and gutter, sidewalk, signalization, lighting, pedestrian beacons at seven new mid-block crosswalks, vehicle detection systems and apply new signing and pavement markings.
- Motorists can expect inside southbound and northbound lane closures for concrete placement in and around the following areas from January 20-23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

US 301 from Desoto Road to University Parkway: Construction project: Crews are milling and resurfacing US 301 from Desoto Road to University Parkway in Sarasota County. In addition to resurfacing, crews will perform shoulder treatment and apply new signing and pavement markings. The project limits cover approximately .5 miles.

S.R. 64 from Pear Street to S Barlow Road: Construction project: The State Road 64 improvement project in Hardee County includes milling and resurfacing existing pavement, reconstructing worn sections of roadway, improving drainage systems, replacing and installing guardrails, updating signage and pavement markings, and enhancing driveway turnouts for safer access. Please use caution in the area and watch for workers, traffic signage, detours, and equipment throughout the project.
- Intermittent lane closures will occur daily throughout the project limits as work continues.
- Beginning Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, motorists should expect intermittent daytime lane closures and nightly lane closures in areas where crews will be installing guardrail.
- The posted speed limit remains reduced to 45 mph within the construction zone.
- Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns, potential delays, and should follow posted signs and consider alternate routes when possible.

I-275 (S.R. 93) from I-75 to Terra Ceia River: Construction project: Crews are milling, resurfacing, and installing pavement markings on 2.2 miles of roadway on I-275 (S.R. 93) from I-75 to Terra Ceia River. The project improvements include milling and resurfacing, shoulder and ramp work, overbuilding for cross-slope correction, guardrail and signing, and pavement markings.
The following ramp closures will be conducted overnight as crews install signage.
On Sunday night, January 18, the off-ramp from southbound I-275 to U.S. 41 will be closed. Motorists will be detoured to continue southbound on I-275 to northbound I-75, then to the Parrish exit (Exit 229) and turn left on westbound Moccasin Wallow Road. Follow the detour signs on westbound Moccasin Wallow Road to the intersection of U.S. 41 and turn left at U.S. 41 to head southbound.
- On Monday night, January 19, the off-ramp from northbound I-275 to both north and southbound U.S. 41 will be closed. Motorists traveling on I-75/I-275 will be detoured to exit prior to the U.S. 41 intersection onto westbound Moccasin Wallow Road in Parrish (Exit 229). Follow the detour signs on westbound Moccasin Wallow Road to turn northbound or southbound U.S. 41.
- On Tuesday night, January 20, the off-ramp from northbound I-275 to both north and southbound U.S. 41 will be closed. Motorists traveling on I-75/I-275 will be detoured to exit prior to the U.S. 41 intersection onto westbound Moccasin Wallow Road in Parrish (Exit 229). Follow the detour signs on westbound Moccasin Wallow Road to turn northbound or southbound U.S. 41.
- On Wednesday and Thursday night, January 21 and 22, the northbound I-275 ramp will be closed.

US 41 from West of West Villages Parkway to Woodmere Road: Construction project: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will begin milling and resurfacing US 41 from west of West Villages Parkway to Woodmere Road. The project limits cover approximately 5 miles. In addition to resurfacing crews will perform shoulder treatment, install vehicle detection systems and apply new signing and pavement markings.
- Motorists can expect temporary single-lane closures overnight.
- Motorists can expect areas of uneven pavement throughout the project area. Please exercise caution when traveling through active construction zones.
- Motorists can expect crews to be present intermittently during the day throughout the project.
- Expected completion is mid- 2026.

S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road and S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from North of Tower Street to South of Tower Street: Construction project: Crews are reconstructing rigid pavement on S.R. 25 (U.S. 27) from north of Tower Street to south of Tower Street. Additionally, milling and resurfacing work is ongoing on U.S. 27 from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road.
- Nightly lane closures will occur from Tuesday, Jan. 20, through Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, for signalization span wire installation and roadway widening at the Dal Hall intersection.
- Daily lane closures will continue both northbound and southbound U.S. 27 for shoulder widening activities throughout the project limits.
- Shoulder closures are in place in both directions throughout the project limits for outside shoulder widening activities.
- Intermittent lane closures will continue to occur throughout the corridor as construction progresses.
- Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone.

U.S. 98 (State Road 700) from East of Floral Drive to East of County Road 621: Construction project: Crews have begun milling, resurfacing, and widening the roadway. The project also includes drainage enhancements, guardrail upgrades, and updated signage.
- Beginning in January, crews will continue guardrail repairs and complete final roadway repair work.
- Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone.
Estimated completion is expected in January 2026.

Clark Road (SR 72) from Honore Avenue to West of Gantt Road: Construction project: The Florida Department of Transportation is milling, resurfacing, installing curb, gutter, drainage and pavement markings on less than one-half mile on Clark Road (SR 72) from Honore Avenue to west of Gantt Road in Sarasota County.
- The entrance to Rand Boulevard from Clark Road will be temporarily closed January 14 and 15 so that concrete can be removed and new concrete poured.
- There will be a temporary shoulder closure at the entrance to Moonstone Drive on January 15, and a temporary closure at the Moonstone Drive exit. It will reopen January 16.
- Motorists can expect intermittent single- and dual-lane closures overnight throughout the project.
- Please watch for signs, barricades and workers close to the travel lanes and obey posted speed limits in the construction zone.
- The project’s estimated completion is in mid-2026.

Road Watch Update:
- Motorists are asked to exercise caution and reduce their speed while driving through the work zone.
- Pedestrian access to the bridge is not allowed during construction, which includes fishing and all other recreational uses.
- Motorists are reminded not to block driveways or entrances and to follow all posted signage throughout the construction zone.
- Noise from construction equipment in the area is to be expected.
- Since the start of construction of the Little Pine Island Bridge, boaters are asked to be aware of construction equipment and erosion control measures that are in place.

SR 31 at CR 74 (Bermont Road) Roundabout Construction: Construction project: These improvements will include constructing a roundabout, milling and resurfacing, upgrading drainage, installing new lighting, adding landscaping, signing, and pavement marking. Throughout construction, motorists should expect intermittent daytime and nighttime/overnight lane closures.
Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the daytime hours, beginning Monday, January 12, through Friday, January 16, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Crews will be installing permanent lighting, constructing driveways, installing permanent drainage, and removing temporary drainage.

I-75 From South of Bonita Beach Road to North of Alico: Construction Project: Nighttime Lane closure operations will continue Sunday Nights through Thursday Nights for resurfacing operations for I-75 northbound and southbound.
- Nighttime lane closures and detours are scheduled to install new overhead signs along the Collector Distributor Roads South and North, scheduled for the weeks of January 12 and 19.
- This will also include ramp closures on the on-and-off ramps of Alico Road.
- Detoured traffic will be routed to Corkscrew Rd and Daniels Parkway to utilize Three Oaks Parkway and Treeline Avenue/Ben Hill Griffin Parkway to direct traffic back to Alico Road and the Terminal Access Road.
- Anticipated lane closures on the SB Collector Distributor Road and SB off ramp at Alico Rd are anticipated for the nights of January 12 and 13.
- Anticipated lane closures on the northbound Collector Distributor Road, northbound off and on ramps at Alico Road, and detoured for Terminal Access Road are anticipated for January 14, 15, 18, and 19.
Daytime activities will include:
- Continued installation of signs and I.T.S. items and Wrong Way Detection features.
- Overhead sign panel replacements from shoulders.
- Shoulder treatment and sod placement at various locations from Alico Road to the Lee/Collier County line.

SR 739 from north of the Caloosahatchee River to SR 78 (Bayshore Road): Construction Project: This project is intended to improve safety, enhance traffic flow, and reduce crashes by constructing a continuous raised median, with bi-directional and full median openings. Proposed improvements also consist of milling and resurfacing of the roadway, two pedestrian hybrid beacons, upgrading the traffic signal at Pondella Road, ADA upgrades, lighting, signing and pavement markings, and drainage improvements.
**UPDATE TO TURN LANE CLOSURE TIME**
- Beginning Monday, January 12, through January 16, the eastbound, outside turn lane from Pondella Road to southbound Business 41 (S.R. 739) will be closed during the daytime hours, beginning at approximately 10 a.m.
- On Tuesday, January 20, the eastbound, outside turn lane from Pondella Road to southbound Business 41 (S.R. 739) will be closed during the daytime hours, beginning at approximately 10 a.m.
- On Wednesday night, September 17, 2025, the left (inside) lanes on northbound and southbound S.R. 739 were reopened, and the right (outside) lanes were then closed. This traffic shift marks the beginning of Phase 2 of the project.
- During this time, pedestrians should follow the posted detour to access Pondella Road from Pine Island Road.
Please use caution in the area, as crews will be working on and near the roadway.

SR 64 from 10th Street East to Braden River: Construction project: Crews are working on milling and resurfacing, adding drainage improvements, replacing guardrails, new pedestrian signals, temporary and permanent electrical improvements, pavement reconstruction, sidewalks and curb and ramp reconstruction, signing and pavement markings, signalization, and lighting.
- Pedestrians can expect detours throughout the project and are encouraged to use caution.
- Motorists can expect lane closures overnight, starting after 7:30 p.m. for milling and resurfacing.

US 301 from 25th Court East to 13th Avenue East: Construction project: Crews are in the final stages of a 7.6-mile improvement project consisting of milling and resurfacing the roadway, widening in areas, base work, curb and gutter, sidewalk, guardrail, drainage improvements, bridge expansion joints, signalization, and pavement marking.
• Motorists can expect workers to be present as final punch list items are addressed.

SR 80 from Buckingham Road to Hendry County Line: Construction project: Crews will be milling and resurfacing 9.5 miles of roadway, shoulder widening, turnout construction, guardrail, drainage, signing and pavement markings and installing intelligent transportation systems.
Temporary closure of Cristobal Drive has been placed into effect.
Motorists should expect a westbound outside lane closure from Hickey Creek Bridge to Buckingham Road.

SR 82 from the Hendry County Line to Gator Slough Lane: Construction Project: Motorists should expect intermittent eastbound and westbound lane closures during the daytime and nighttime/overnight hours throughout the duration of the project.
Crews will be performing roadway widening, including clearing & grubbing, excavations, sodding, subgrade & base construction on the westbound and eastbound of the roadway.
- Crews will be performing wildlife crossing excavation and a concrete pour on the westbound side of the roadway.
- Crews will be performing earthwork activities at the east end of the project.
- Crews will be constructing asphalt pavement on the westbound side of the newly constructed roadway.
- Crews will be installing light pole foundations at Corkscrew Road outside the clear zone.
- Crews will be constructing sidewalks and erecting permanent fences outside the clear zone throughout the project.
- A new traffic pattern is in place at the west end of the project, shifting the eastbound inside travel partially into the existing shoulder area.
- A new traffic pattern is in place at the east end of the project, shifting the westbound outside travel lane into the temporary paved median.
- Motorists should anticipate lane closures with flagging operations on State Road 82.
- Frequent and brief flagging operations are taking place throughout the day to assist trucks in safely crossing the road within project limits.

SR 35 (US 17) from Tamiami Trail (US 41) to Bermont Road: Construction project - The contractor is continuing to mill and repave SR 35 (US 17) from the Florida Street Bridge to Bermont Road.
Nightly lane closures will be needed for widening at Bermont and for driveways.
Nightly lane closures will be needed for milling and paving on Marion.
A long-term right lane closure will be set up on Marion to address the dip near Klispie Drive.
Daytime lane closures for conduit boring.
Daytime shoulder closures for grading in the median and outside for sod and laying sod.
A bump condition exists on the roadway just east of Marlympia on S.R. 35 (U.S. 17) that is expected to remain until the spring of 2026.
