- The right-turn slip lane from Pyramid Parkway onto northbound US 98 will remain closed while crews install new curb, sidewalk and begin paving. During the closure, motorists will still be able to turn right, left or continue straight from Pyramid Parkway.
- Expect daytime lane closures north of I-4 as pipe crews work on drainage improvements. Use caution and be prepared to merge.
- Expect nighttime/overnight lane closures as crews move barrier wall from the south end of the project to the north end to continue drainage work.
- Crew will also be working in the I-4 ramp medians as they prepare to install temporary sidewalk and asphalt for pedestrian and motorist detours. Use caution and watch for workers close to the road.

- Summit Avenue will be closed at Lee Jackson Highway while crews install pipe across the roadway Monday, April 21 and Tuesday, April 22. Motorists should follow the posted detour using Stuart Avenue to North 13th Street back to Summit Avenue.
- A new stop sign is in place at the intersection of Lily Avenue and North 12th Street/Lee Jackson Highway making the intersection a four-way stop with Lily Avenue, North 12th Street, East Stuart Avenue and Lee Jackson Highway. Motorists heading east over the bridge on Lily Avenue must stop at the new stop sign now as the intersection has become a four-way stop. Use extreme caution while all motorists get used to the new traffic pattern.

This week workers will continue installing drainage along the east side of Lakeland Hills Boulevard.
- Lakeland Hills Boulevard may be reduced to one lane with flaggers directing traffic at nighttime/overnight from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. while crews install drainage and water lines under the northbound travel lanes. Use caution and be prepared to stop.
- Traffic remains in one lane in each direction but is now shifted to the west side of Lakeland Hills Boulevard so crews can continue underground drainage and utility work.
- Traffic will remain in one lane in each direction for most of the duration of construction.
- The speed limit has been reduced to 35 mph during construction.
- Use caution, be prepared to merge or stop, and plan for delays.

This week crews will continue milling and resurfacing both northbound and southbound US 17 from 7 a.m. until dark, Monday, April 21 through Friday, April 25. Expect daytime lane closures and be prepared to merge or stop.

SR 70 from Lorraine Road to Bourneside Boulevard, Bradenton: Construction project: This project includes widening SR 70 from Lorraine Road to Bourneside Boulevard from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane or six-lane divided roadway, depending on the location, construction of roundabouts on SR 70 at Uihlein Road, Del Webb Boulevard, and Bourneside Boulevard, intersection improvements at the existing signalized intersection of Greenbrook Boulevard and Lorraine Road, construction of four bridges over two Braden River crossing locations, new drainage system, construction of 10-foot shared use paths, street lighting, and landscaping, and installation of new fiber optic cable connecting the two signalized intersections to Manatee County’s regional Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS).
This week’s work will consist of:
- Eastbound traffic has been shifted onto newly constructed eastbound lanes between Uihlein Road and east of Bourneside Boulevard. Eastbound traffic will not be able to access Bourneside Boulevard North of SR 70. Westbound traffic will be able to access north Bourneside Boulevard as it can currently. A detour will be in place to route eastbound traffic to north Bourneside Boulevard via Uihlein Road to Rangeland Parkway.
- Crews will construct a temporary roadway at Bourneside Boulevard on SR 70 between eastbound and westbound traffic. This work will harmonize a 3-4 foot grade difference between future eastbound lanes and existing SR 70. This is being done to restore Bourneside Boulevard access in all directions. Traffic for short periods may be required to follow diversions and flaggers, use caution when driving through this area as the traffic alignment may have changed.
- Drainage will continue on SR 70 between Greenbrook Boulevard and Lorraine Road.
- Embankment will be placed for roadway and shared use path between Greenbrook Boulevard and Uihlein Road for future eastbound lanes. Embankment will be hauled out of Pond A, west of Uihlein Road. Flaggers will briefly stop traffic to allow trucks to cross SR 70.
- Crews will pave shared-use-path and turn lanes between Uihlein Road and Bourneside Boulevard.
- Concrete mitered end sections and ditch pavement will be placed between Uihlein Rd. and Bourneside Boulevard.
Please use caution and watch for trucks and construction vehicles entering or exiting the work zone throughout the construction limits. Work will occur Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please use caution and be aware of workers and flaggers in the area.
Bourneside Boulevard is closed to construct the south portion of the Bourneside Boulevard roundabout. During this time, no traffic will be permitted on Bourneside Boulevard between The Masters Avenue and SR 70 in either direction while the existing roadway will be under construction. Motorists should use caution in the area and follow the provided detour route provided by way of The Masters Avenue to Lorraine Road. The closure will be in place into May 2025.
Greenbrook Boulevard is expected to be closed in Summer 2025 to construct the south portion of the Greenbrook Boulevard intersection. During this time no traffic will be permitted on Greenbrook Boulevard between SR 70 and Skip Jack Loop in either direction. The north side of Greenbrook Boulevard and SR 70 will remain open. A complete detour and message boards will be provided in advance of the closure being implemented.

SR 70 from Bourneside Boulevard to Waterbury Road, Bradenton: Construction project: This project includes widening SR 70 from Bourneside Boulevard to Waterbury Road from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway, Safety features will include roundabouts to be constructed at 197th Street East/Lindrick Lane, 213th Street East, 225th Street East/Panther Ridge Trail and County Road 675/Waterbury Road. The project will also include the installation of a new drainage system, new curb and gutter, construction of 10-foot shared-use paths and 5-foot paved shoulders on both sides of the roadway, street lighting throughout the project and landscaping inside the roundabouts.
This week’s work will consist of:
- Grading for the future shared use path and roadway on the south side of SR 70 between 197th Street and 225th Street.
- Drainage work will begin at 197th Street installing underground storm drainage pipe on the south side of SR 70.
- Future eastbound construction will continue with embankment hauling and stabilized subgrade construction across from the future pond, between 197th Street and 213th Street, on the South side of SR 70.
- Drainage swale grading will continue between 213th Street and Meadow Dove Lane on the South side of SR 70.
In the upcoming months, Lindrick Lane, 213th Street, Pather Ridge Trail, and Meadow Dove Lane will be closed at SR 70 to construct the south portions of each intersection’s roundabout. The north side of these intersections will not be impacted. These closures are tentatively planned to begin in late Summer and will occur one at a time with no concurrent closures. Detours and message boards will be provided, and advanced notice with specific closure dates will be provided once available.

I-75 at SR 951 (exit 101) Interchange Improvements: FDOT is reconstructing the I-75 southbound on- and off-ramp connections and the northbound on-ramp connection to the mainline lanes at SR 951 (exit 101). The northeast quadrant loop ramp will be connected to, and accessible only by, a direct flyover ramp from northbound Collier Boulevard starting south of the Davis Boulevard intersection. This single-lane flyover ramp will carry traffic over Beck Boulevard and a reconstructed I-75 southbound on-ramp. A single-lane flyover ramp extension will carry I-75 southbound traffic over Davis Boulevard to a new signalized intersection at Collier Boulevard and Business Circle North. This ramp will extend along the western side of Collier Boulevard.
The following activities are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen underground conditions.
OVERNIGHT BECK BOULEVARD DETOUR SCHEDULED TO RESUME 4/21 – 5/2:
During the nighttime/overnight hours of 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Monday April 21 through Friday, May 2 (excluding Friday and Saturday nights), Beck Boulevard is scheduled to be temporarily closed at Collier Boulevard (SR/CR 951). This closure is necessary for crews to begin bridge work on the east side of the intersection.
To accommodate access during these closures, a temporary roadway connection has been constructed just north of Beck Boulevard at Tollhouse Drive. There will be no direct southbound or westbound traffic through the intersection during these closures.
Motorists traveling westbound on Beck Boulevard will turn north on Tollgate Boulevard to west on Tollhouse Drive to travel north on Collier Boulevard.
To access Beck Boulevard from Collier Boulevard northbound motorists must turn right on the temporary Tollhouse Drive extension to south on Tollgate Boulevard.
Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures for southbound and northbound CR 951/Collier Boulevard during nighttime/overnight hours for crews to move equipment, deliver materials, and construct the overhead bridge work.
Motorists should expect both northbound and southbound CR 951/Collier Boulevard travel lanes to shift from Business Circle South to I-75 to create work zones for crews to construct the elevated roadway.
Motorists should expect the outside right turn lane from southbound SR 951 to westbound SR 84/Davis Boulevard closed. Drivers can continue to turn right from the remaining open turn lane. This closure is needed for crews to begin work for the bridge foundation installation and will remain in place through job completion.
Pedestrians should expect a sidewalk closure along SR 84 (Davis Boulevard) just west of SR 951 (Collier Boulevard) and along SR 951 (Collier Boulevard) between SR 84 (Davis Boulevard) and Business Circle North. Pedestrians may use SR 84 (Davis Boulevard) to Market Street to Business Circle South to access SR 951 (Collier Boulevard).
Motorists are advised that the SR 84 (Davis Boulevard) eastbound direct access ramp heading south to SR 951 (Collier Boulevard) is permanently closed. The eastbound to southbound right turn will be available at the intersection.
Motorists should expect reduced lane widths for southbound Collier Boulevard between Business Circle North and Business Circle South.

I-75 at Pine Ridge Road (exit 107) Interchange Improvements: FDOT is reconstructing the I-75 at Pine Ridge Road interchange. The interchange improvements include reconstruction of the Pine Ridge Road Interchange converting to a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) design, reconstruction of the interchange on and off ramps, construction of pedestrian and bicycle accommodations through the interchange, installation of new signals at the ramps, and resurfacing of Pine Ridge Road through the project area.
The following activities are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen underground conditions.
Motorists should expect nighttime/overnight lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Pine Ridge Road for crews to work in the median.
Crews will be working on drainage installation and roadway work.
Crews will be working on clearing and grubbing and installing erosion control throughout the project area.

Sanibel Causeway Emergency Restoration: Crews are completing final items west of the toll plaza. Work continues east of the toll plaza. The causeway islands surrounding the temporary roadway are an active work zone and are currently closed for public access, including from the water.
The following work activities above are scheduled to occur, however unforeseen underground conditions and weather may affect this schedule.West of the Toll Plaza:
During the nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. motorists should expect one lane of travel with a flagging operation for crews to work on bridge approaches, bridge rail installation, and placing thermoplastic striping.
Motorists should expect intermittent flagging during daytime hours throughout the causeway for various work activities including installing signage and lighting. The contractor is working to keep vehicles moving and has shifted work activities based on heavy traffic. Lane shifts through the toll plaza may be necessary.
Work continues to prepare the recreational areas of the Causeway for future reopening to the public. This includes moving materials from the causeway islands in preparation for handoff to Lee County. THE CAUSEWAY ISLANDS PARK REMAINS CLOSED TO PUBLIC ACCESS AT THIS TIME.
East of the Toll Plaza:
Motorists should expect a daytime eastbound and westbound lane closure (eastbound after peak morning travel) between Port Comfort Road and Punta Rassa Road for crews to install sod.
The shoulder on McGregor Boulevard remains FULLY CLOSED TO ACCESS from the toll plaza to approximately ¾ miles east. Work in this area is expected to be completed later this month.
Motorists can continue to expect intermittent daytime flagging on McGregor Boulevard, both eastbound and westbound from Shell Point Boulevard to Punta Rassa Road for crews to move equipment and materials.
Work by others: Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation continues work on the north side of McGregor Boulevard for mangrove restoration. For more information visit: www.sccf.org.
Many oversized vehicles are crossing the causeway to assist with recovery efforts on the island. Please be patient as travel may be slower than usual. Bicyclists are encouraged to utilize another mode of transportation to travel the causeway, and pedestrians are not permitted on the Sanibel Causeway. MOTORISTS ARE REMINDED TO OBEY THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT OF 20 MPH THROUGHOUT THE WORK ZONE.

SR 70 from Peace River to Southeast Baker Street: Construction project: Crews will reconstruct approximately 3.4 miles of SR 70 within the City of Arcadia, add new drainage facilities, add new and relocate sanitary and watermain utilities, install new traffic signals, reconstruct sidewalks, and add street lighting in various locations. During construction there will be lane closure on SR 70. Temporary pedestrian pathways will be installed for pedestrians during construction while sidewalks are under construction and detours will be in place during construction, while crews work on side roads; please follow signage and use caution in these areas.
- Eastbound SR 70 traffic is currently using the north lane up to Lee Avenue. Between Lee Avenue and Dade Avenue, traffic shifts to the south lane and continues in the south lane until Roger Avenue, where it shifts back to the north lane, utilizing the preexisting westbound south lane.
- Westbound SR 70 traffic continues on the north side of the roadway until Volusia Avenue, where it shifts to the south lane. Between Manatee Avenue and Dade Avenue, traffic shifts back to the north lane.
- A truck detour for traffic traveling northbound on US 17 and turning west onto SR 70 westbound will be in place the week of April 21, 2025
Anticipated traffic switch:
- Westbound SR 70 traffic between Volusia Avenue and Dade Avenue is expected to shift from the south side to the north lane in approximately one month.
- Westbound SR 70 traffic between Luther Avenue and Volusia Avenue, currently on the north side, is expected to shift to the south lane in six to eight weeks.
Estimated completion is summer 2026.

SR 66 from US 17 (SR 35) to Charlie Creek: Construction project: Crews will mill and resurface SR 66 from US 17 to Charlie Creek. Improvements will include milling and resurfacing. Motorists expect a detour for phase I reconstruction at Merle Langford Road when the westbound lane of SR 66 is closed for construction. Eastbound SR 66 will remain open throughout. Other improvements consist of sidewalk construction, drainage structures, guardrails, curb and gutter, new pavement markings and other safety improvements. Please use caution in the area and watch for workers, traffic signage, detours and equipment throughout the project.
- The detour began March 10 and will remain in place throughout the duration of the project. Westbound SR 66 was closed from Merle Langford Road to US 17, with traffic detoured via Steve Roberts Special and SR 64. Eastbound SR 66 remained open.
- Lane closures and flagging operations will take place on westbound and eastbound SR 66 from Sweetwater Road to Farrell Road from April 21 through April 24, 2025, during nighttime hours from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Crews will perform milling and paving operations.
- Motorists should anticipate longer delays in queues, follow posted signs, and consider alternative routes.
Completion is expected in early 2026.

State Road 25 (US 27) from South of Horn Road to South of Shoreline Drive: Construction project: Crews have begun milling, resurfacing, and widening the roadway. The project includes enhancing drainage, installing and upgrading guardrails, and adding concrete pavement markings and signage.
- Intermittent outside lane closures on southbound US 27 north of SR 70 for road widening from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Intermittent single-lane closures on northbound and southbound US 27 south of SR 70 for milling and resurfacing, operating 24 hours a day.
- Motorists should expect daytime and nighttime lane closures on the northbound and southbound outside lanes of US 27, as well as construction activity at the intersection of SR 70.
- Motorists should use caution, follow posted signs, and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone.
Estimated completion is expected in early 2026.

US 98 (State Road 700) from East of Floral Drive to East of County Road 621: Construction project: Crews have started to mill, resurface, and widen the roadway. The project includes enhancing drainage, installing and upgrading guardrails, and updating signage.
- Flagging operations are taking place from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for asphalt paving and barrier wall installation on the south side of US 98 (SR 700) within the project limits. Motorists should expect delays, use caution, and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone.
Estimated completion is expected in late 2025.

SR 66 from West of Sweetwater Road to Highlands County Line: Construction Project: Crews will begin work on SR 66 from West of Sweetwater Road to Highlands County Line. Improvements include resurfacing, pavement markings, and safety enhancements.
- Expect intermittent lane closures and flagging operations on westbound and eastbound State Route 66 between Sweetwater Road and the Highlands County Line from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout April 2025. These closures are necessary to complete final road repair work.
- Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone.
Completion is expected in mid-2025.

SR 70 From East of US 441 to Northeast 17th Avenue: Construction project: Crews will be working on milling and resurfacing, base work, drainage improvements, curb and gutter, guardrails, traffic signals, signage, pavement markings, lighting, and other incidental construction.
- Crews are working on final repairs and will be on-site. Motorists should use caution while driving and watch for workers in the work zones.
Anticipated completion is early 2025

State Road 25 (US 27) from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road and State Road 25 (US 27) from North of Tower Street to South of Tower Street: Construction project: Crews are reconstructing rigid pavement on State Road 25 (US 27) from north of Tower Street to south of Tower Street. Additionally, milling and resurfacing work is ongoing on US 27 from Shoreline Drive to Davis and Gaines Road.
- Traffic has been shifted to the northbound side of the intersection for Phase Two. Motorists should expect daytime and nighttime lane closures on both northbound and southbound lanes throughout the project limits.
Intermittent lane closures will occur throughout the project, including:
- Northbound outside lane closures from McCoy Drive to Arron Drive and Lake Clay Drive South to Alderman Drive for right-turn lane and shoulder widening.
- Southbound inside lane closures for median curb installation.
- Temporary nighttime and daytime driveway closures at Wawa and Mobil will continue through May 2025.
- Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers and equipment in the construction zone.
Anticipated completion is late 2026.

SR 78 from North of Herbert Hoover Dike to County Road 721: Construction project: Crews will be removing and replacing the existing asphalt pavement along the SR 78 corridor between the north side of the Herbert Hoover Dike and County Road 721.
- Beginning at 8 p.m. on Monday, April 21, northbound and southbound lane closures will be in place for the installation of rumble strips. Motorists should expect intermittent delays and use caution when traveling through the area.
- Motorists should also continue to watch for workers, signage, flagging operations, and equipment throughout the project zone.
Completion is expected in late 2025.

SR 78 from North of Herbert Hoover Dike to County Road 721: Construction project: Crews will be removing and replacing the existing asphalt pavement along the SR 78 corridor between the north side of the Herbert Hoover Dike and County Road 721.
- Motorists should use caution in the area and watch for workers, signage, flagging operations and equipment throughout the project.
Completion is expected in Mid 2025.

Upcoming Lane Closures:
Starting April 7, 2025, Saw Palmetto Parkway eastbound lanes will be temporarily closed from Babcock Ranch Road/SR 31 to Amethyst Boulevard at the entrance to TerraWalk. Eastbound lane closures are anticipated to last until April 20, 2025. The westbound lanes will be utilized to maintain both directions of travel while the eastbound lanes are closed.
Starting April 21, 2025, Saw Palmetto Parkway's westbound lanes will be temporarily closed from Amethyst Boulevard at the entrance to TerraWalk to Babcock Ranch Road/SR 31. Westbound lane closures are anticipated to last until May 4, 2025. The eastbound lanes will be utilized to maintain both directions of travel while the westbound lanes are closed.

US 41 from North of Port Commons from north of Port Commons to State College of Florida, Sarasota: Construction project: Project improvements include milling and resurfacing, guardrail, drainage improvements, signing and pavement markings, and signalization improvements. Expected completion early 2025.
This week, crews will work on general cleanup, weather permitting. Please use caution and watch for workers throughout the construction limits.

SR 45 (Tamiami Trail) from South of Morningside Drive to North of Saint Pierre Road: Construction Project: The improvements under this contract include milling and resurfacing of the roadway and upgrading the signing and pavement markings.

- Motorists are asked to exercise caution and reduce their speed while driving through the work zone.

SR 45 (US 41) from Peace River Bridge (010050) to south of Charlotte Avenue: Construction Project: The improvements under this contract include milling and resurfacing of the roadway, upgrading signing and pavement markings, and traffic loops.
- During construction, motorists should expect nighttime/overnight lane closures.
- Beginning Monday, April 14, motorists can expect nighttime/overnight lane closures on SR 45 (US 41) southbound from the Peace River Bridge to south of Charlotte Avenue.
- Motorists should anticipate potential delays at streets intersecting SR 45 (US 41) southbound.
- Motorists are asked to exercise caution and reduce their speed while driving through the work zone.

Road Watch Update:
The transition to Phase 2 is tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 7, which will open two lanes of traffic.

SR 72 Stickney Point Bridge: Bridge Maintenance: This bridge is currently in the final stages of an improvement project that will extend the bridge's service life and operational reliability, mitigating the effects of the harsh coastal environment, severe weather, and wear from the volume of vehicle and marine traffic..
- Once final paving has cured, thermoplastic pavement markings will be installed overnight.

SR 777 River Road from I-75 to US 41: Construction project: Road base installation continues on the southbound roadway from south of West Villages Parkway to US 41. Road base installation, drainage installations, and curb placement continue on the future northbound roadway from the Bridge Church entrance to Aucilla Drive. Sod installation, signal, ITS, and lighting work is ongoing. Trucks will be crossing the road at various locations using intermittent flagging operations. Pothole maintenance will continue as necessary on all current travel ways through the project.

SR 31 at CR 74 (Bermont Road) Roundabout Construction: Construction project: These improvements will include constructing a roundabout, milling and resurfacing, upgrading drainage, installing new lighting, adding landscaping, signing and pavement marking. Throughout construction, motorists should expect intermittent daytime and nighttime/overnight lane closures.
- Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the daytime hours, beginning Monday, April 14, through Thursday, April 17, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Crews will be performing general earthwork and temporary detour work.
- Motorists should expect to see crews performing work during the daytime hours on Friday, April 18, beginning 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. Crews will be performing general earthwork for permanent pavement and general earthwork for a temporary detour.

I-75 From South of Bonita Beach Road to North of Alico: Construction Project: Nighttime Lane closure operations will Continue Sunday Nights through Thursday Nights for resurfacing operations for the next few months.
Paving operations are scheduled to resume Monday night, April 21, 2025, due to the holiday weekend.
Daytime activities will include installation of sign bases and conduit installation for I.T.S. items.
New guardrail installation in the medians and overpasses. This work will be performed during the daytime from inside the right-of-way away from the travel lanes or behind shoulder closures as needed.

US 41 (Tamiami Trail) from William Street to Peace River Bridge: Construction Project: The contractor continues work on the proposed roundabout location while traffic is shifted.
- Motorists should expect the northbound lanes of US 41 from William Street to Taylor Street, to be reduced to one lane.
- Motorists should expect a daytime and nighttime lane closure on US 41 southbound from West Virginia Avenue to William Street.
- Motorists should expect a road closure from Carmelita Street onto US 41 northbound. · Phase 3B/4 Detour - Cross Street will be closed for the duration of Phase 3B/4 construction.
- Motorists attempting to access Carmalita Street from Cross Street will have to use the posted detour. They will turn left onto West Charlotte Avenue, then right onto Taylor Street, and continue until they reach Carmalita Street.

SR 739 from north of the Caloosahatchee River to SR 78 (Bayshore Road): Construction Project:
- Motorists should expect full-time lane closures on the middle double left turn lane on SR 739 from north of the Caloosahatchee River to SR 78.
- Motorists should expect the inside lanes to be closed on both northbound and southbound SR 739 from north of the Caloosahatchee River to SR 78.
- Motorists can expect nighttime/overnight right lane closures on SR 739 southbound and northbound from approximately Pine Island Road to Pondella Road. Work will occur between the hours of 7 p.m. through 7 a.m. Crews will be performing water main relocations.
- Within the next few weeks motorists traveling on SR 739 will not be able to access Becker Drive and they should follow the posted detour:
- Motorists should continue on SR 739 until they reach West Mariana Avenue, then turn right (north) into Beachwood Drive, and then right again (east) to access Becker Drive.
- Motorists wanting to access SR 739 from Becker Drive will still be able to make this movement.
- Within the next few weeks motorists traveling on SR 739 will not be able to access Becker Drive and they should follow the posted detour:
- Motorists should use caution as crews work on and near the roadway.
- Motorists should continue to expect the northbound SR 739 right turn-lane to eastbound SR 78 to be temporarily shifted beginning 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025. During this temporary turn-lane shift, drivers can still access eastbound SR 78 via the eastbound right turn-lane but should expect to share the turn-lane with a work zone.
- Motorists should expect this temporary eastbound turn-lane shift to last an estimated two weeks.

US 41 Business (9th Street West) from 6th Avenue to Manatee Avenue; Construction project: The improvements consist of milling and resurfacing, drainage upgrades, modified left turn lanes, signalization, lighting, and signing and pavement markings. Single-lane closures will occur throughout the project through completion.
- Please be alert for intermittent lane closures overnight as the contractor performs drainage improvements, signal, lighting, and resurfacing operations.
- Starting Sunday night, April 20, there will be intermittent lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. while median work is conducted. Please use caution or plan to use an alternate route.

CR 664 from East of Pool Road to North of Palm Drive: Construction Project: Crews have begun work on CR 664 from east of Pool Road to North Palm Drive to remove and replace Bridge No. 060034 over Little Payne Creek.
- Expect a full road closure on CR 664 between East of Pool Road and North Palm Drive starting in January 2025, lasting approximately 250 days.
- A detour route is in place to guide motorists safely around the construction zone. Access will be maintained for local traffic only

SR 64 from 10th Street East to Braden River: Construction project: Crews are working on milling and resurfacing, adding drainage improvements, replacing guardrails, new pedestrian signals, temporary and permanent electrical improvements, pavement reconstruction, sidewalks and curb and ramp reconstruction, signing and pavement markings, signalization, and lighting.
- Pedestrians can expect detours throughout the project and are encouraged to use caution.
- Motorists can expect lane closures overnight, starting after 7:30 p.m. for milling and resurfacing.

US 301 from 25th Court East to 13th Avenue East: Construction project: Crews have begun a 7.6-mile improvement project consisting of milling and resurfacing the roadway, widening in areas, base work, curb and gutter, sidewalk, guardrail, drainage improvements, bridge expansion joints, signalization, signing, and pavement marking.
- Motorists can expect daytime shoulder closures along US 301 for shoulder construction at intersections between 25th Court East and 53rd Avenue East.
- Motorists can expect daytime outside shoulder closures for signal and lighting work between 25th Court East and 9th Street East.

SR 64 at Lorraine Road South and 145th Street North: Construction: Crews have begun work on the conversion of the traffic signal to a free-flowing roundabout.

US 301 from 12th Street to Dr. Martin Luther King Way: Construction: Crews will begin intersection improvements along US 301 in Sarasota County. The project was requested by the Traffic Safety Department to improve safety and enhance traffic flow along the corridor. Improvements include adding signal heads, additional signage, and special emphasis crosswalks. Additional improvements include a proposed restricted crossing U-turn (RCUT) at the 21st Street intersection adding a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB) on mast-arm assemblies.
- There will be a permanent merge lane closure at 12th Street turning right onto US 301 south.
- Turn lanes for the median crossover at 21st Street are closed until construction is completed both northbound and southbound.
- Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures as workers install sod throughout the project limits.
- Motorists may wish to add additional travel time or choose an alternate route.

SR 78 (Pine Island Road) from west of Chiquita Boulevard to west of Santa Barbara Boulevard: Construction Project: During construction, motorists should expect daytime and nighttime work with intermittent nighttime/overnight lane closures.
- During the week of Sunday, April 13, through Saturday, April 19, motorists should expect closures on several left turn lanes throughout the project limits while crews begin paving during the nighttime/overnight hours.
- This will include the following intersections: Chiquita Boulevard, Skyline Boulevard, Nicholas Parkway, and Hancock Bridge Parkway.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on Pine Island Road will not be able to access the left (northbound) turn lane onto Southwest 10th Place. Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
- Motorists traveling eastbound SR 78 attempting to access Southwest 10th Place are encouraged to continue eastbound until they reach Nicholas Parkway and U-turn at the intersection. They can then continue westbound until they reach Southwest 10th Place.
- Motorists traveling westbound on Pine Island Road will not be able to access the left (southbound) turn lane onto Skyline Boulevard. Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
- Motorists traveling westbound SR 78 attempting to access Skyline Boulevard are encouraged to continue westbound until they reach Chiquita Boulevard and U-turn at the intersection. They can then continue eastbound until they reach Skyline Boulevard.

SR 758 Bee Ridge Road at the Legacy Trail: Construction project: Crews are constructing two new pedestrian bridges and intersection improvements along the Legacy Trail in Sarasota County.
- Lane closures: Through the month of April and the first week of May, there will be east and westbound lane closures and detours on Bee Ridge Road starting at 7 p.m. through 6 a.m. The detours are necessary so crews can conduct overhead bridge construction and eventually remove the existing roadway crosswalk, once the bridge is open.
- Detours: Expected to be intermittent during the rest of April and the first week of May.
- Final project completion is expected in June 2025.
SR 72/Clark Road and the Legacy Trail: Construction project: Crews are constructing two new pedestrian bridges and intersection improvements along the Legacy Trail in Sarasota County.
- Lane closures: Additional lane closures and detours will be needed in April and May to conduct overhead bridge work and for the eventual removal of the Legacy Trail crosswalk at Clark Road.
- Detours: Expected to be intermittent during April and May.
- Project completion is expected in June 2025.

SR 82 from the Hendry County Line to Gator Slough Lane: Construction Project:
Motorists should expect intermittent southbound and northbound lane closures during the daytime and nighttime/overnight hours throughout the duration of the project.
Work consists of bridge construction, adding lanes and reconstruction, milling and resurfacing, drainage, grass median, sidewalk, guardrail, shared-use path, detention ponds excavation, signalization, lighting, and signing and pavement markings.
Crews will be performing roadway widening including clearing & grubbing, excavations, and embankment construction on westbound and eastbound of the roadway. Crews will be performing pile driving on the westbound of the roadway.
Motorists should anticipate lane closures with flagging operations on State Road 82.
